Mold Along Baseboards
Because of a broken pipe this family had water wick up their walls. The mold started growing along the baseboards and walls within 48 hours of the water loss. Unfortunately the family was out of town when the pipe broke and they came home to the mold on their return.
Cleaning the walls was not going to be an option as they were made out of wood. The wooden material was removed to rid the home of mold and to help dry the building materials behind.
In most cases only the moldy pieces would have to be removed but in this case it was necessary to remove the entire wall because the homeowners wanted drywall to replace the wood.
