When it comes to flood damage it can have devastating effects. According to the IICRC a flood is considered black water or category 3; containing contaminates and bacteria that are harmful if not cleaned properly.

Under the circumstances anything that is porous, such as carpet and drywall, all need to be removed and disposed of. Once all the porous materials are removed we cleaned and disinfected the floors and studs. As you can see in the second picture the floor is still a little wet from the cleaning. There is also a two foot cut along the wall where the flooding had soaked into the drywall.
